Big Projects 2015!

Since the last book cover design (see last blog post), I have done many small sketches and small projects. Tune back in for this years' Christmas card design, more book cover designs, and more from my new excursion of portrait work! Until then, enjoy the past three big projects I've done.

These past two months, I have been with my Great Grandma (91yrs old) in Arizona thus; I haven't done much art-wise other than Christmas presents (see previous post) and tattoo design commissions.  So, here's those tattoo designs!

This is a commissioned piece I just finished for a friend.  As usual, the colors are better in real life (one of these days I'll get a super expensive camera). It was a challenge but I love how it turned out so, it was worth it! I had a picture of a tattoo to copy from (picture below) and then I added in the lettering.  I am so happy with how uniform and clean all of these lines turned out! This is the first time I have gone from 3-D (the tattoo) to 2-D and had to be so precise. It is also the first time for me to do lettering this crisp with a paint brush.  Overall, I am very happy with how this turned out!
